Before we expand on the acronym ABS, it's worth mentioning right away that it's not just a car's brake assist system. Although it has a lot to do with automobiles, ABS, in the context we're discussing, is acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, a plastic with exceptional strength and impact resistance. It is because of these qualities that ABS is widely used, among other things, in the manufacture of transport trays that protect delicate components and assemblies. ABS is also a widely used material in the automotive industry, due to its strength, aesthetics, impact resistance and ease of molding.

Plastic film unequal - what is the difference between HDPE and LDPE?
Taking the example of plastic bags that we encounter every day in stores, we can see significant differences between the different materials. Well, paid commercials are usually products made of HDPE - they are stronger and more durable, so we use them even for very heavy purchases. On the other hand, free, thin bags made of LDPE, which tear easily, are used for packing lighter products, such as fruits or vegetables.
HDPE is also a plastic with high resistance to various chemical agents. As a result, in addition to plastic bags, it is used to make gasoline canisters, fuel oil containers and sewer pipes. It is the strength and flexibility of HDPE that make it such a versatile material.
ABS and HDPE recycling - a step towards zero waste
